Description:

Reinsurer in the South has a need for an Actuarial Associate to support IFRS and MCEV financial reporting. This position will play a significant role in the modeling of individual life insurance business and assist in improving the reliability and transparency of the models that support various financial reporting needs. This role will involve actuarial modeling which includes responsibility for assessing accuracy of current valuation models compared to treaty terms, client data and stated assumptions, leading on investigating, proposing and implementing model improvements in AXIS actuarial projection software, interfacing with Administration, Pricing and CIS areas to ensure validity of actuarial models. The position also involves financial analysis and documentation which entails developing tools and analysis required to explain financial impact of model changes, developing tools and analysis required to analyze assumption sets, using existing skill set or gaining additional skills required to create new tools or improve efficiency of existing tools and
assisting in creating/maintaining Corporate Actuarial process documentation for auditing purposes. Candidates preferably will have experience with AXIS software and an understanding of reinsurance.
