Life and annuity insurance company in the Southwest looking to grow their actuarial department by adding at the Actuarial Student level. This is a small group, but growing. Company is very actuarial dominated as a whole which bodes well for the actuarial track. Ideal applicant will reside in the Southwest and if coming directly out of college will have some kind of internship or business experience along with at least one exam. Also willing to consider applicants with a year or two of actuarial experience as well. This does not need to be in the life sector. They simply want to see working experience and progression on the exams. The position will contribute to the development of innovative products and pricing programs by performing actuarial support work. Will compile and organize data for experience analysis and prepare related reports. Will work on schedule of statistics and financial statements. Analyze calculations and data. Will contribute to pricing/product improvements, business case development, project development, implementation and testing. Minimum one exam to be considered and must have goal of at least obtaining ASA designation. Excel and Access experinece a plus.
