Description:

Insurance Organization in the Northeast US has a need for an experienced Financial Actuary. The incumbent will be heavily involved with the forecasting process for individual annuities. The associate will be responsible for maintaining and running ALFA projection models and analyzing financial results for reasonability. The position will also support management requests outside of the quarterly forecasting process. Understanding actuarial risks associated with annuities, and being able to communicate them to Finance associates, will be a key component of this job. The incumbent will also be involved with Statutory and GAAP projections. This position requires an individual with strong overall analytical and actuarial modeling skills to fill an important role on the financial modeling team.
Candidates should have strong quantitative and analytical skills, experience with actuarial projection software (ALFA is desired), experience in GAAP reporting or Statutory valuation is a plus. Additionally, candidates must be willing to quickly develop in-depth knowledge of current annuity portfolio product designs and optional benefit features. Prior annuity experience is a plus and FSA/near FSA status is desired for the role.
