Insurance Company in the Southeast will consider a Property & Casualty or other type of Actuary with a good SAS Programming background. The key responsibilities of the role will include: conducting actuarial analyses through assembling and validating data, participating in product development and product filings to support the business units, assisting in the preparation of claim and premium reserve analyses and associated SOX requirements. Candidates will be expected to take actuarial exams in pursuit of the Fellowship in the Casualty Actuarial Society or Society of Actuaries. The prerequisites of the role will include: advanced knowledge of SAS in practical setting manipulating databases, proficiency in Excel utilizing database functions, pivot tables, and other advanced tasks, at least one actuarial exam successfully completed, the ability to apply analytical skills by gathering complex data from
multiple sources in a timely, accurate, and professional manner, the ability to effectively communicate results and required actions to a
broad audience.
Candidates with SAS certification, knowledge of actuarial ratemaking and reserving fundamentals through exposure in an entry level actuarial or related role and familiarity with insurance and/or warranty products are all highly regarded for the role.
