Large organization looking for a VP of Communications. As a Vice President (with a focus on change management, education and communication) in the Benefits Consulting group, the incumbent will help clients set strategy, direct and conduct research and manage the implementation of final approach for custom communication campaigns and projects. Main duties will include: Assists and sometimes lead sales effort. Works with clients to understand business strategy/project goals based on existing documentation and/or research. Develop communication strategies/program approaches to address objectives and drive behavior change including conducting employee research (focus groups/surveys, etc.). Manages project implementation including providing work direction to internal production managers, writers and designers, as appropriate. Coordinates work with other benefit consultants and project teams on integrated delivery projects. Writing and editing of client deliverables to confirm that key messages track to objectives and behavior change objective. Ideal candidate will have a BS in Communication- or Business-related field with 1-3 years of experience in communication support work. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task. Strong desktop application skills (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel); familiarity with Microsoft Project and standard design programs a plus. 8-10 years supporting internal communication, preferably in a consulting environment with HR/benefits content. Experience developing communication strategies based on organizational change and individual behavior change theories. Excellent writer with superior client management/project management skills. Deep content knowledge on both retirement (DB and 401(k)) and health care plan design.
